New Insights and their implications

I have learned so much while being in the school of education, from my peers and teachers about elementary school students. First off they have short attention spans, so you always have to be changing up activities and being creative. Secondly, they all have different learning strengths and weaknesses, and all learn in different ways, so as teachers we need to be open minded and prepared to teach them in various ways. Math may be one of the most difficult classes to teach, due to the large amount of problems, and even more difficult the many ways there are to do each problem. Unlike science and social studies that have one answer and usually one way of attempting the answers, math makes students and teachers unique, and there for we as teachers need to teach the content in as many ways as possible. I feel the more we learn now in this class, and through experience we will learn through our students mind sets, as well as our own studies.
